Minimalism Phase 1

1. Minimalism in photography is based around simplicity in the subject or subject of the photograph. Ideally, the photograph should mainly contain solid colors and should refrain from patterns that are too loud or busy. The subject should be simple and not contain anything that would make it complex. 2.  The white and green compliment each other well. It is appealing to look at and doesn't have motion or busy patterns. The colors are calming and the there is one subject. The water is clear and the balance of the photo is nice from top to bottom. The warm colors look really nice with the mans more yellow skin tone and his outfit. The clean line really pulls the simplicity of the photo together.

It does not change my viewpoint of the image. This is because my guess was correct. However, the second photo shows that it is touching the ground near the water. This changes my perspective because I believed it was on a mainstream highway billboard. The scale is also much larger than I thought. The scale makes you think about the difficulties of mounting or installing such a giant piece. I think the lost girl suggests that shes lost in materialistic goods, seeing as shes in a large, metropolitan city.
